Membership entitles you to secure access to our private database of fractional exchange listings. See our How It Works page for more details on our exchange system. Members also receive membership and a duplicate listing on our sister site, Exclusive Exchanges, at no extra charge. Each member receives 1 hour of complimentary concierge services, as well as discounts on an array of professional services.

Every paying member receives one hour of complimentary concierge services per year from London-based Gill and Tonic Concierge. LFE was just launched in August 2008, and it will take some time for our list of fractional properties to grow. So we are very excited to be able to offer our members dual membership with our sister site, Exclusive Exchanges. EE serves wholly owned vacation homes (instead of fractionals) but otherwise our systems are exactly the same. Our two sites have combined listings so you can view EE properties in your searches on the LFE website, and EE members can view your property listing on their website. You can communicate and initiate exchanges with owners from either site. This gives you immediate access to almost 1,000 luxury vacation properties around the world!

Yes. If you would prefer to list some or all of your weeks as a rental only, you are welcome to do so. Many of our members will consider renting if they cannot secure an exchange in the desired destination.
We do not allow members to list their fractional share for sale on LFE, but we have arranged a preferred discount for Fractional ReSale listings on our partner site, Luxury Fractional Guide. Please contact LFE for more information.
Yes. We welcome fractional yacht, houseboat and cruise ship owners. We have added a "Yacht/Cruise Ship" Destination Type to our search page, to make it easy for members to find this type of listing.
No, we only allow fractional properties on our site. We define fractional ownership as a person owning at least 2 weeks (1/26th) at a property. Owners of whole ownership vacation homes can join our sister site, Exclusive Exchanges.
Exclusive Fractional Exchanges simply provides a way for members to contact each other to arrange an exchange or rental. We are not involved in the actual transaction and do not bear any responsibility for any aspect or outcome of the arrangement. EFE members are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of a potential exchange or rental by corresponding with members, asking for photos, and asking for references. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.
Yes, if after six months of membership you are dissatisfied with the system and have been unable to make a rental or exchange, we will refund your full annual membership fee at your request.
You may begin contacting other members immediately. Members will communicate through our secure database and personal emails will not be disclosed unless the members wish to do so. We will notify you by email any time you receive a new message in your member inbox.
In the many years that home exchanging has been around, there have been very few reports of theft or vandalism. That being said, however, there is a certain element of uncertainty when doing a home exchange. It is advisable to communicate frequently with your prospective exchange partner, and ask for references if possible. For those who regularly rent out their luxury properties, home exchanging is a safer alternative because you actually 'get to know' your exchange partners a little. All members are second-home owners who share your cares and concerns about keeping your property in great condition. LFE takes complaints about members very seriously and anyone who has been reported to have been a poor exchanger will be removed from our system.
No. Because these are vacation homes, you do not have to exchange at the same time. When you find a potential exchange partner, you simply pick a week from their available weeks and they select one of your available weeks. For example, you could visit someone's fractional residence in Florida in February, and they could visit your fractional home in Vermont in July.
We leave it up to the personal preferences of each member. As a guideline, Luxury Fractional Exchanges recommends that you send a quick reply to each inquiry so that they know their request reached you.
Yes, vacation home web page links, and links of interest that pertain to your neighborhood or upcoming local events will make your home listing more informative and attractive to potential exchangers.
Luxury Fractional Exchanges does not disclose names, street addresses, or email addresses to members or the public. All correspondence between members goes through our SSL secured website. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.
